Concerns have been raised that students at the University of Wolverhampton may be affected by fasting while sitting exams.
This year Ramadan – ninth month of the Islamic calendar- is going to fall at the same time Muslim students will be fasting, studying and sitting exams from May 5 to June 4.
Ameena Khan, academic coach at the university, said: “This year it’ll be very difficult for Muslim students that are observing Ramadan to get through it.”
A workshop will take place at the university on May 1 from 12pm to 3pm dedicated to provide training for staff and help and support for concerned students.
