A woman from Norwich who makes self-published booklets called zines is using social media to connect with audiences despite COVID-19.
Laura Mosely turned to social media – particularly Instagram – when COVID-19 halted her in-person zine fairs, workshops and exhibitions.
Laura said: “COVID has forced me to be more active on social media and make an effort to connect with people. But I now realise that does not mean they are any weaker connections.”
Laura, who is studying an History of Art MA at University College London, initially founded Made By Women in January 2019 to highlight forgotten female artists.
Made By Women now produces zines which intersect art and activism, with a focus on queer and feminist art and textile history.
